Psychology

We teach mainstream, evidence-based psychology, and we do so with the conviction that human beings are made in the image of God, broken by sin and circumstance, and capable of real change. Faith and scholarship are partners here, not rivals.

Psychology graduates serve in case management, behavioral health, HR and organizational development, education, ministry, and research roles. The MA can also serve as preparation for doctoral study in psychology or for graduate work in counseling.

APU Global’s psychology programs are designed for academic, applied, and organizational settings. They are not licensure programs in clinical psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work. Talk with an advisor before enrolling if licensure is your goal.

Every psychology course is online and asynchronous, delivered in eight-week terms with six start dates a year. There are no fixed login times, so students working in healthcare, education, human resources, or ministry can study around their schedules. Generous transfer credit and prior learning assessment often shorten the path for adults returning to finish a degree.

Students planning doctoral work or licensure in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work use the BS and MA as academic preparation. Advisors help map coursework against the prerequisites of your intended graduate program early, so nothing is missing at application time.
