Our mission

Azusa Pacific University Global exists to serve people around the world who desire education delivered in the context of faith, excellence, and flexibility, removing the barriers to affordability and accessibility.

APU Global teaches and serves from a Christian worldview through a holistic understanding and practice of promoting faith, life, and learning.

We believe the entire APU Global community is called to contribute to cultivating hope through learning, and we accomplish this through our core values of being Exemplary, Caring, and focused on Learning. We are committed to preparing individuals not only with the skills and attitudes to thrive in their community and workplace, but also to point the way to something bigger, to the ultimate hope that is in Jesus Christ.

As a result of their interactions and study here, our students will be able to:

  1. 1899

    A shared history with Azusa Pacific University dating back to 1899, a heritage of putting God first.

  2. 1903

    Our own institutional heritage traces back to 1903.

  3. 2011

    First classes launched as a 100% online university on August 23, 2011, as Azusa Pacific Online University.

  4. 2014

    Azusa Pacific University College founded, and the first master's degree offered.

  5. 2018

    Granted separate, independent regional accreditation by WSCUC as Los Angeles Pacific University.

  6. 2022

    WSCUC approves a competency-based education program, making us the second university approved by WSCUC to offer a CBE degree.

  7. 2024

    WSCUC accreditation reaffirmed.

  8. 2026

    Los Angeles Pacific University becomes Azusa Pacific University Global as of September 2026, fully online and independently accredited.
