APU Global respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information collected through our websites and online services.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide (name, email, phone, education history) and information collected automatically (IP address, device, usage analytics).

How we use it

To respond to inquiries, deliver educational services, comply with federal and state law (including FERPA), and improve our website. We do not sell personal information.

We use essential and analytics cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies via your browser or our cookie consent banner.

How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who support university operations (application processing, learning platforms, financial aid servicing, analytics, and communications), and only to the extent needed to perform those services. We also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, accreditation review, or federal reporting obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Student education records

Student education records are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Enrolled students may inspect their records, request corrections, and control the release of directory information. FERPA rights are described in full in the Academic Catalog and administered by the Office of the Registrar.

Data retention and security

We keep inquiry and application data only as long as needed for admissions, enrollment, and legal or accreditation recordkeeping. Information is protected with encryption in transit, access controls, and staff training. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA, and will not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of the EU and UK may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing under the GDPR. We verify identity before fulfilling requests and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our websites and services are intended for prospective and enrolled adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
