What to expect from a degree in education & humanities at APU Global

The Christian liberal arts, online

Our humanities tradition treats literature, history, philosophy, and theology as more than electives. They are the tools we use to read the world. Faculty integrate Christian worldview with the great conversations of Western and global culture, and equip you to handle ideas, texts, and people with care.

Careers our graduates pursue

Graduates teach in public, private, and Christian TK-6 schools; work in nonprofit and church leadership; write, edit, and communicate professionally; and pursue graduate study in education, theology, law, and counseling.

Built around the rhythms of teachers and working adults

All coursework is online and asynchronous, with eight-week terms and six start dates per year. Credential programs include the supervised fieldwork and clinical practice required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Preparing California teachers online

Teacher preparation at APU Global follows California Commission on Teacher Credentialing requirements, including supervised fieldwork and clinical practice arranged near where you live. Coursework is online and asynchronous; the classroom experience is local and real. Advisors track credential requirements with you from your first term so nothing surfaces late.
