Office of Institutional Research
The Office of Institutional Research (IR) serves APU Global by collecting, synthesizing, and converting data into accurate and consistent information for both internal and external stakeholders. These efforts support university-wide and departmental promotion, reporting, and data-driven decision making. The work of IR can broadly be categorized into promotional support, compliance reporting, management analytics, and strategic trend analysis.
Management analytics includes both student success data (i.e., retention and graduation rates) and program assessment data .
Published reporting
University Fast Facts
Each academic year, the university publishes a collection of Fast Facts which summarizes multiple categories of student and financial data.
Current data for the university can also be found via the National Center for Educational Statistics in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).

What Institutional Research does
The Office of Institutional Research turns university data into decisions. IR staff manage federal and state reporting, respond to accreditation requests, run program assessment cycles, and analyze student outcomes so academic leaders can see clearly where students succeed and where they stall.

How the data is used
Findings feed directly into course redesign, advising strategy, and resource allocation. When persistence data shows a consistent drop at a particular point in a program sequence, that sequence gets examined. This feedback loop is a core part of how academic quality is maintained at scale.

APU Global publishes summary data so prospective students can evaluate the university on evidence. Review student success data, student demographics and enrollment, accreditation, and making an informed choice.
Working with IR
Faculty, staff, and external researchers can request data or survey support from the Office of Institutional Research. Requests are prioritized around accreditation cycles, federal reporting deadlines, and program review schedules, and all reporting follows FERPA and university data governance standards.
