State Authorizations
Find out which states APU Global is authorized to offer online degree programs. Check state authorization requirements and availability before applying.
Program availability in your state
APU Global is working to meet federal and state authorization requirements in states outside California, our home state. Because of those requirements, APU Global’s programs are not available in every state.
State authorization of distance education is a complex and dynamic environment. Availability is reviewed and updated regularly, so check this page before you apply, and confirm directly with admissions rather than relying on a general list.

admissions@apuglobal.eduWhy state authorization exists
Every state sets its own rules.
Every state regulates who may offer distance education to residents within its borders. Universities must either be authorized in a state or participate in a reciprocity agreement before enrolling students who live there. The requirements change frequently, which is why availability is reviewed and updated regularly.
If you move during your program
We work the problem with you.
APU Global is committed to helping students who relocate to a state we do not serve as best we can within the constraints of state authorization requirements. Students who move to a restricted state may need to pause enrollment until authorization is in place, and counselors work with each student individually to identify options. Students seeking readmission are also subject to state authorization constraints in effect at the time of return.
