Academic Calendar
Courses run in eight-week sessions, six times a year. The academic calendar holds the dates for every session.
The live calendar
Current session dates and deadlines are kept on the live academic calendar. It is public, so you do not need to sign in to view it.
How terms work
Eight-week sessions, six times a year
APU Global courses run in eight-week sessions, and a new session begins six times a year. Each session has its own set of dates, so the deadline that matters to you depends on the session your course is in.
This page explains what the academic calendar covers. The dates themselves change every term, so we do not repeat them here. Always check the live calendar for the current dates.
What the calendar sets
The dates in each session
Session start and end
Each eight-week session has its own start and end date, and the calendar sets where each week of the session begins and ends.
Add/Drop
Add/Drop deadlines follow the session weeks set by the academic calendar.
Withdrawal deadlines
Withdrawal deadlines also follow the session weeks, so the week you are in determines what applies.
Commencement
Commencement ceremony dates are published on the academic calendar.
Related policies
Where these dates are used
The withdrawal and refund policies are based on session weeks, which are set by the academic calendar.
Regalia, guest tickets and ceremony logistics are covered on the Commencement page, and replays of past ceremonies are on APU Global Live.
